Inter Milan, Milan, the second team since 1899 and only guest at the San Siro anyway, is driving plans to build its own stadium. After Massimo Moratti has spiced up with a million-dollar and his band of mercenaries equipped with the most likeable coach in the world, he probably has not updated the job properly and will probably make known his plan later this year, officially, from the historic San Siro in a new commercial arena to move. It envisages a multi-function venue with 60,000 seats modeled after the Munich Allianz Arena or the Amsterdam Arena, both stages of the 5-star category by UEFA classification. The planning phase is now complete in the next 2 months (early December), the official presentation of the project and the release of funding is expected to be the realization of the season 2012/13.
Place of construction is still a closely guarded secret, not surprisingly, however, would be a new stadium in the district of Rho-Pero, with motorway access and metro access ("linea rossa"). There were already advanced plans for an Olympic stadium as part of Milan's bid to host the Olympic Games of 2000. The bid to host the Expo 2015 in Milan in the capital will certainly have positive implications for a possible new stadium.
Moratti has fallen for the particular model of Allianz Arena to find restaurants with different price range, shopping area, excessive VIP lounges, child care and other "amenities" that football fans in the modern game as repulsive. Also, separate entrances for business guests, VIP lounges and a rear entrance for the normal rank and file may not be missing in this model.
I will visit the new venue for an away game even more than a year, so I have no strong opinion about how Scrooge Moratti its petrodollars channeled into the Italian economy and the impact this could have on the deficit nerazurri. Of course, the general condition of the stages of the Italian Serie A largely underground and because of me may be in the future in a Interisti sponsorenbedröhnt licked luxury hall in the English style romp. Maybe I think it's good even when no history of this club in the future even in a stadium without a history resides - glittery plastic stadium for a glittering sculpture team.
All in all, I take that message but as a clear indication that the "calcio moderno" with its unpleasant side effects in Italy on the rise is that made for an event audience that football just eat it as a framework for sandwiches and sign contracts understand, with clear classification into economically valuable visitors and fill material.
For me, stadium bratwurst eating, flares, beer from plastic cups, standing and enthusiasm for a football game. In the meantime, I think that Milan's San Siro for the gelungendsten compromise between commercial marketing and enough space for actual Tifosi - even if, or because it exudes a slightly dusty charm and not always so clean that you could eat off the seats. On the seats are supposed to stand also is sitting Sucks Balls!
So congratulations to the "cugini" - with a 5-star stadium, you can watch some maybe watch a Champions League final.
