While I was at the now legendary meticulous evaluation of my holiday in the Cilento work (watch this space!), here is the timeliness because once again a live report from the North Italian folk god Davide van de Sfroos ...
Because it was time again, a year after his last visit here on Lake Maggiore made the folk fantasist again hold in my cozy little corner of Lake Maggiore. Not like last time at Stadio dei Pini oversized but in the countryside and audibly more charming arena on the beach of Intra (Verbania). Davide has here in the cold north a loyal following and so was the amphitheater on the shore of Lago Maggiore quite properly filled - of families with children, half naked Mosher front of the stage to folk-affine Omis on the seats. What I like about the man so much last year so I've already written on the current tour, he mostly stuff from his latest album, "Pica" before. 3 years after the previous "Akuaduulza" which was about time. "Pica" is once again in the other dialect, "laghèe", and means (tapping) "picchia" - a reference to the work of the miners from frontal (Sondalo district, village of Alta Valtellina). So you can not say that it rotates with Davide always fishermen, smugglers and counterfeiters.
Companion of the current tour are international artists such as Scott Jaime Dolce, the "guitar hero" from New York who manages to bring a sound from the roots of Mississippi blues and Jimi Hendrix's Gypsy band on stage, Andrea Tavarelli (bus ) and Silvio cents Amore (drums) form for the van de Sfroos extremely important rhythm section and are capable of dynamism and wealth of sound to evoke a true southern music. Michele Papadia, pianist and magician on the Hammond organ is known for countless studio work with blues and jazz greats or even for their assistance in the recording studio and Articolo31 Jovanotti on the album "Buon Sangue". Anga Persico controls on the violin, of course, a very large part to the special charm of Davide van de Sfroos concert at - his interpretations imply a link between traditional music and culture of modern interpretation.

But because the Internet is boring to read my lyrics and much too long I once again made a few photos and two videos somehow useful. Enjoy!
