So slowly I finish my report Cilento. Of the dozens of great places we have visited, I want to show you where to go swimming on the Cilento coast is best and how it looks at home. Our hotel was indeed in the Val Sele, a little inland of Cilento in about 20-25 minutes drive from the sea.

Here we are in the nature reserve of the rivers Sele and Tanagro, the exceptionally interesting landscape and nature prospects. In this grassland rich territory their source at the Contursi Terme, famous for its water and especially their white sludge that is used in beauty and skin care. There are many plants can, where you rejuvenate with spa treatments. Art Of historic interest are the churches of Santa Maria degli Angeli (9th century) and del Carmine, and archaeological finds, such as a villa from the Roman era and a Neolithic grave near the river Tanagro.

I found the most beautiful villages of the Val Sele impressive Senerchia and Paestum I have already described. In the following I will discuss images, mostly I have visited villages and towns of the upper Seletals (Alto Val Sele) and photographed - in addition to Senerchia and Paestum are particularly Colliano and Collianello, Olivetro Citra Quaglietta with its fortress and a visit Muro Lucano. and the Castello di Lagopesole are not actually in the Val Sele, but in the neighboring Basilicata, but are also worth a visit. Also a short excursion with picnic expect Tues Laghi di Monticchio, a popular recreation destination for the locals.
