So slowly I finish my Cilento report. Of the dozens of great places we have visited, I still want to show you where to Cilento coast is the best swim, and how it looks in the domestic. Our hotel was located in the Val Sele yes, a little in the rear of the Cilento in about 20-25 minutes drive from the sea.

Here we are in the nature reserve of the rivers Sele and Tanagro offering exceptionally attractive landscape and natural prospects. In this rich territory grassland spring the sources of the Contursi Terme, famous for its water, and especially their white sludge that is used in beauty and skin care. Here there may be many plants, where they regenerate themselves with spa treatments. Art-historical interest are the churches of Santa Maria degli Angeli (9th century) and del Carmine, and archeological finds, such as a villa from the Roman era and a neolithic grave near the river Tanagro.

I found the most beautiful villages of the Val Sele impressive Senerchia and Paestum I have already described. The following pictures I speak leave, most of all I have and communities of the upper Seletals (Alto Val Sele) visited villages and photographed - in addition to Senerchia and Paestum are particularly Colliano and Collianello, Olivetro Citra Quaglietta with its fortress and a visit. Muro Lucano and the Castello di Lagopesole are not really more in the Val Sele, but in the neighboring Basilicata, but are also well worth a visit. Also a short trip with picnic expect Tues Laghi di Monticchio, a popular recreational destination with the locals.
